Did you know that if your not hunting for cheap auto insurance your are apparently paying way more than you need to for auto insurance. Most people remain with the same auto insurance agent, year after year, because, “that’s who my family has used”, or “he’s a nice guy”, or “they’re a big company”, (who have paid out a ton of money with the horrible weather recently and also raised your rates}.

Last year, I decided to shop my auto insurance when my quote went up 50% and coincidentally so did my roommate’s. I was floored! I then went back to where I had received my discount auto insurance and got an equally great deal my roommate!
Between us, we saved over $2,000 in the past year because we hunted for the cheap auto insurance. We had saved enough money to go on the cheapest 3-day cruise to the Bahamas we could find and moved to a larger space!
Now, you might think of other ways to use that extra money, but we had the cruise to remember for a lifetime and got a better place to live, just because we found the cheap auto insurance we could find. Sure, we could’ve just paid the bill and said, “well everything goes up…” like most other people, but this was like free money.
We would have spent that saved money on our auto insurance premium, paid the high rate they quoted and keep scrimping to make the rent payment, but instead we made a wise decision to go after the cheap auto insurance we could find.
Now, I know you wondering, well, if they are regulated, how come the big company didn’t give a discount auto insurance. Well, they are regulated, but auto insurance companies are a business like everything else, and if they have excessive losses or claims, they can pass that on to the consumer.
You just have to shop for the cheap auto insurance you can find. Now, I know you don’t want to hurt that nice guy, who was your families auto insurance agent, which is fine as long as he will pay for you and a friend to go on a cruise and move you into a bigger apartment.
If you want to save a wheelbarrow of cash, go on a great vacation or have a bigger place to live, or pay your utilities and buy groceries, then save where you can, and it’s easy if you get the cheap auto insurance.
